Tennis Lessons in North Houston, TX
North Houston players are 17.5 miles from the courts, roughly 31 minutes. North Houston is not one place. It is a stretch of unincorporated Harris County, and the management district that carries the name sits where I-45 meets Beltway 8, by Bush Intercontinental Airport. The neighborhoods we group under it run from 4.6 to 29.5 miles out, so read our 17.5 mile figure as a middle, not as your drive.

Getting here
From North Houston to the courts
From the east side of the region the Hardy Toll Road does most of the work. It runs 21.9 miles from I-610 up to I-45 just south of the Harris–Montgomery county line, with exits at Beltway 8, Rankin Road and FM 1960 on the way. I-45 north is the free alternative.

Playing out of North Houston
The main east-west road here answers to two names. Harris County added Cypress Creek Parkway as an alternate for FM 1960 between Aldine-Westfield and Highway 249. It was not a rename: the old name stays, and mail addressed to FM 1960 still arrives. The Northwest Houston Chamber chair backed it as an image upgrade, saying the area was "no longer a farm to market road."
There is no single district here. Aldine ISD covers much of it — Aldine itself, most of Greenspoint and East Aldine, parts of Airline, Acres Homes and Inwood Forest — and runs its administration from W.W. Thorne Blvd in 77073. But Ponderosa Forest is Spring ISD, Champions is Klein ISD, and the small community actually named North Houston is Cy-Fair. Check your street before you plan around a school day.

Rivera Tennis academy is the best of the best when it comes to Tennis lesson. My son started his lessons here in late August taking private lessons under Coach Devin!! This is the first of any sport my son is playing and we were bit unsure how he might like it. Coach Devin has proved us that these were just our mere concerns. Our son has thrived under Coach Devin’s leadership and training. He is soo patient with our son and works with him at his level. It’s only been few months but our son has come a long way in the world of tennis. Coach Devin is also a very kind and respectful young man! Thank you Ivett for assigning him as our son’s coach. You will never get judged here at the court. Everyone encourages and is kind to each other.

I seriously wish I had found this place YEARS ago. They have great dedicated coaches who focus on technique while still making sure everyone in the class has a good time. Students are given time with different coaches (including conditioning!) And often get one-on-one attention. The biggest plus for me is that my kids and I can have our own classes at the same time...so everyone wins!

The coaches here are absolutely wonderful—each one brings a unique combination of expertise, passion, and positivity that makes learning both fun and effective. They truly care about the progress of each player, providing personalized attention and guidance tailored to individual needs. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, the coaches are always there to motivate you, offer constructive feedback, and help you achieve your goals.
